Sunday How-to-Live Classes

Sunday How-to-Live Classes

Every Sunday, a team of dedicated volunteer teachers shares the timeless “How-to-Live” principles taught by Paramahansa Yogananda. These age-appropriate classes help children explore values like love, wisdom, respect, friendliness, and devotion to God in a safe and nurturing environment. Children also learn simple and practical techniques to connect with God and apply spiritual principles in their daily lives.

Teen Program (Ages 13–17)

We’re excited to share that our Teen Program at Glendale Temple is beginning a new chapter! Starting September 28, 2025, teens are warmly invited to join us every 4th Sunday of the month.

Rooted in the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, the program is designed to support teens’ spiritual growth, emotional well-being, and personal development as they navigate the challenging teenage years. Meetings will include meditation, energization, inspiring guest speakers on relatable topics, meaningful dialogue, and opportunities for service—helping teens form lasting divine friendships in a joyful, supportive community.

On other Sundays, teens are welcome to join the Junior Class (ages 7–12) or attend the 11:00 AM Sunday Service. Please feel free to invite teens you know—either your own children or those around you who might benefit from this program—all are welcome!

Sunday School Program (Ages 3–12+)

Classes are held every Sunday during the main service at 11:00 AM. Parents are welcome to walk their children to their classrooms and sign them in upon arrival.

10:50 – 11:00 AM: Pre-service activities

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Prayers, energization exercises, chanting, meditation, and engaging How-to-Live lessons

Please pick up your child immediately after the service ends.

Parent-Child Room (Ages 0–3)

Families with infants and toddlers are welcome to use our Parent-Child Room, located in the building to the left of the main chapel. The room is equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities, and a large screen allows parents to watch and listen to the morning service while supervising their little ones.

Note: A monthly newsletter is emailed to parents with updates on special Sunday School events and commemoration ceremonies.
